This 3-hour ethics training explores the real-world application of Kentucky’s Code of Ethical Conduct (201 KAR 23:080) for social workers. Moving beyond textbook scenarios, this course examines how everyday decisions, digital habits, and unclear boundaries can gradually lead to ethical violations. 

Participants will gain a clear understanding of state regulations, reflect on their own ethical blind spots, and review actual disciplinary cases to learn how to recognize red flags before they escalate.

Juniper Owens, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker, educator, supervisor and co-founder of Bridge Counseling and Wellness, an integrative mental health practice in Louisville, Kentucky. 

She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from the University of Louisville and has pursued advanced training in several therapeutic approaches, including ERP, Ecotherapy and crisis intervention.

Juniper has taught at the University of Louisville’s Kent School of Social Work and is passionate about creating engaging, clinically relevant educational experiences for professionals that bridge research, ethics, and real-world practice. 

She is the creator and host of the Conscious Mental Health Podcast, where she explores contemporary issues in mental health through a person-in-environment and systems-oriented lens.

Her clinical work and educational interests include anxiety disorders, existential distress, crisis intervention, media literacy, mental health misinformation, and helping clinicians cultivate discernment in an increasingly complex information landscape.
